Day 01 – Introduce yourself with pictures and words

so i'm M :) and i love being happy, i mean who wouldn't want happiness? i really try to be an optimist and see the bright side of life, i really do! but i'm still learning every day on how to make that work for me...

i love sunshine, summer and beaches! California, Hawaii and British Columbia (where i live now) are probably my favorite spots for beaches and sunshine :) i also love to travel, although i haven't really gotten a chance to go to too many places yet, i'm still young! i have the rest of my life! but i'm totally a summer person so bring on the sun, sand and surf! oh and i really, really, really like sun bathing which does wonders for a tan!

music is actually a really huge part of my life. my whole family has always been really into music. i guess you could say i have one of those musical families? always dancing and singing and playing instruments together. the main thing i play is piano, but i also can play flute, trumpet, alto saxophone and ukulele. i just play classical piano now, but up until this year i played trumpet in a jazz program at my school. (jazz is huge at my school, there's even a jazz academy which is what i did). but my real favorite genre is reggae or ska. i LOVE LOVE LOVE sublime! but also the dirty heads are great. and i'm just staring to love radical something.

basketball has also became a really huge part of my life since both my parents played. they actually met on a high school basketball road trip. so guess what, i play basketball! even though it's not something i see myself having a future in, i do really enjoy it. like watching it and playing it and everything. i'm a HUGE Lakers fan and believe it or not, i actually met Kobe Bryant in Portland back in april when i went to a game! one of the best moments ever :)

lots of love

M

ps. for the 30 i'm trying to use pictures i either took myself, or pictures of me. but obviously for some things i couldn't do that, like sublime (as much as i'd like to say i've seen them)
